My future job
At the moment I am studying psychology, I would like to
work with children and teenagers. I would like to work in SENAME, and I imagine
that is a really hard work to do, because the kids there suffer a lot. I am
really interested in children's rights. They need help, and I think that with what
I learn in my classes I can help them, because I think that mental health is
really important.
I think it would be mostly an indoors job, a
quiet and private place is better for a good therapy, but that does not mean
that you can’t do the therapy outdoors, but it depends on the case.
I would like to travel a lot, but not for
my work. If I would have to travel for work, I would do it as a volunteer,
maybe.
I do not think too much about the salary,
and I really do not know how much a psychologist that works in SENAME earns.
I like Educational Psychology, Juridical Psychology,
and Clinical Psychology (in this line, I am interested in systemic therapy). But,
even when in my career I can study different lines of psychology, and I can
specialize in some of them, in the end I will have a “general psychologist”
degree. This career was my first option.
In this picture you can see one of my teachers, he knows a lot and I like his specialty:)
