VIII. English Language Challenges

If I am honest, I do not like too much the English course we have at the university. I do not like that we are obligated to take this course because I believe that learning another language has to be a personal choice, not an imposition, and at the end it just put more stress into our academic life. A like the idea of the blogs, but I think its hard for us to learn if we do not have a feedback about our writing skills. But this year I can say I had a good experience in this course, and I appreciate a lot that in this course we saw stuff with important social or political content, because is something really important and interesting for me too.

I would like to improve my grammar and my pronunciation. I have no idea of what to do about the first one, and about the pronunciation, I would have to practice talking, but I have no one to help me with that ☹. I would like someday to really know this language; I like it and I find it useful. Before COVID-19 pandemic I had plans to take a proper (but also “alternative”) English course this year, outside the university, but I had to postpone it because with how the thing are now I do not have the money for that.

I do not use this language in my daily life, but it is present in some of the music I listen to, and I like to read fanfics in archive of our own, and in that platform it is all (well, most of it) write in English, so I usually read a lot of stuff in this language.
